If you take a look at the world largest Search Engine website Google,
it currently have a total of more than four billions of web pages in their
Search Engine database. The key word home business alone have
about 16,400,000 pages during the last search on Google and it is still
increasing daily.
Like any Bricks and Mortal Business, making money
from the Internet depends on the number of HUMAN TRAFFICS you can attract
to your web site. After uploading your contents to your web
site, the next major things you need to do will be to attract as many TRAFFICS
to your web site as possible.
The first task you need to do if you have just start a new website is
to submit your URL to Google. The place to submit your link is http://www.google.com/addurl.html
How about submitting your URL to other search engine?
Normally, the search engine are all inter-linked. This means that
your site in Google will be able to find it ways into other search engine
once Google find your site has unique contents and many website are pointing
their links to you. Therefore, you can still add your URL manually
to other search engine if you want to. The choice is yours to make.
For adding your site to other search engine, go to Google and type add
url and you will get a list of other search engine site where you can
add your website to.
The next thing to do when you create your web page is to have a relevant
title for your web page. The title is where the search engine index
your site and produce the result for the surfers to see. Pay
special attention to your index page, and try to think of certain key words
that you as a surfers will likely used to find the information that they
need.
As a website owner, I believe you have done some research with the search
engine and it have been mentioned in many site that the first thing to
do is to setup a reciprocal link page and start having a link exchange
program with as many relevant site as possible.
Include in your link exchange page an area where other webmaster can
contact you to exchange links with you. Well, that will be
your third task to do.
The fourth task you need to do is to asked yourself why the surfers
would want to visit your website. Most of them are searching for
specific information that they need and you must be able to satisfied that
need. A constant flow of FRESH contents are required to attract
them to visit your site again and again. It is often
mentioned that the best website to setup is something which you have knowledge
and will love doing it even it is for FREE.
There are no straight forward ways for getting lots of traffics and
search engine are constantly changing their search rules as to prevent
anyone from manipulating the search results. Just keeping learning.
