8 Reasons To Be An Affiliate Marketer
When I began affiliate marketing I knew only half of these things but, in hindsight, if I had have known these things then it would have made the decisions I made so much easier. Such is the intention of this article, to contribute towards the success of affiliate marketing newcomers. Here are 8 reasons to be an affiliate marketer.
In fact the only reason I wrote 8, is because there isn't enough space to write the 100 that there really are. I hope you find them informative and helpful.
1. No product to produce.
Often creators of products (usually info) pay large fees to make or have their products made. With affiliate marketing forget about it.
2. No products to deliver.
If your promoting information products it's a download page or if your selling physical product its shipping, handling and distribution. With Affiliate marketing you needn't worry
3. Copy the same method.
Once you discover a method of affiliate marketing that works you can reproduce it for any product. Then continue to do it until you have more money than you know what to do with.
4. High income potential.
The amount of money you make increases in proportion to the amount of time you put into your site. Once you have developed a format that you know converts your visitors to customers, all that you need to do is get as much traffic to the site as humanly possible. You can get into search engine optimisation or simply work on your Pay Per Click strategies, but either way the harder you work the more you get paid.
5. Make passive income.
The king of them all: Money while you sleep. There's nothing like waking up in the morning, checking your clickbank account and finding sums of money that have accumulated while you've been lost in peaceful dreams. Enough said!
6. No customers to deal with.
Forget complaints, nasty people, changes in customer preference, forget it all. The merchant takes the responsibility and changes their site accordingly.
7. Low start up costs.
The only cost in setting up an affiliate website is that of registering your domain and host, then getting some traffic through. If you're making your own products the costs can be significantly higher in amount and number.
8. No payment processing.
Forget refunds, taking details, names, addresses, emails, credit card numbers. Your merchant handles it all. All you do is sit back while the money gets put into your account. That simple!
How To Make Affiliate Sales In 15 Minutes
You see, that is the very essence of success with any affiliate program, finding a product that is hot, has little or no competition and developing an ad campaign for it.
If you are one of the 98.6% of affiliate members that never make one cent from affiliate sales or make small $5.00, $10.00 commissions, then this article is for you. Even if you are making nice checks, this will interest you.
You really can start to make affiliate sales in 15 minutes with Google Adwords.
Your ads will start appearing with 15 minutes for the keywords you have selected. If this has you scratching your head :o) I don't blame you. I was totally new to Adwords until I read about Chris Carpenter's experience in making $3,405 with just one ad in his very good ebook
You know those ads on the right side of the page of Google's search page? Well those are Adwords. You pay per click with the minimum at .05, which is less than Overture's .10 PPC. Placement of your ad is based on two factors, the Cost Per Click and your ad's Click Through Rate (CTR).
I have set my maximum CPC to .06 and the daily budget $5.00 until I see that the keywords I've selected are working and the affiliate program is making sales. To cut through a lot of learning curve you should find a niche keyword with Good Key Words or Word Tracker. The first is free and the second has a free trial. You can Also get some high paying Adword keywords (some Keywords pay $up to $80 per click!
The other is a software tool, Adword Analyzer.
It will find a list of related keywords, the number of searches per keyword and the number of advertising campaigns per keyword. Boy, do I love this software! I enter a keyword, say, mortgage, and it gives me all of the above in minutes. So you can find high traffic search terms that no one is buying Google Adwords for. Another use is to identify niches that are too competitive to enter. As you can imagine it will save money, time and most importantly find the search terms that you line up an affiliate for and start making money in minutes.
You see, that is the very essence of success with any affiliate program, finding a product that is hot, has little or no competition and developing an ad campaign for it.
The strategy that I use now is to find high paying keywords, buy a domain name with that keyword in it, create a simple landing page, add three Google Adsense ads (they allow up to three per page and don't forget to create Adsense channels for tracking) then I optimize the page with the keyword in the title, spread throughout the body (top, middle and bottom), add articles for content to other pages and create a new Adwords campaign to get some traffic started.
Then I will either buy or request reciprocal links from high relevant websites With PR4 and above. You buy links with PR5 and above for a reasonable amount. Do a search for Then watch my Adsense income build!
Google loves relevant content on your site or sites linking to it.
Another way to get listed in the top 10 or Google is writing articles. This is another article coming soon!

By Jason Gazaway
Every affiliate marketer is looking for exactly what allows those truly successful markets to make the big affiliate paychecks. It seems at times to be almost a magic formula! It is not. It's just good marketing practices that have been proven over years and year.
These tactics worked before the advent of online marketing and continue to work in today's online affiliate marketing world. With these top three affiliate marketing tips, you should be able to increase your sales within seven days after implementing all three tips!
1. Use unique web pages to promote each separate product you are marketing. Don't try to lump a bunch of products together to save a bit of money on web hosting. Have a site dedicated to each product and to nothing else. Include affiliate product reviews on the website to spell out exactly what the product will do for the purchaser. Include testimonials from users who have enjoyed the product and are willing to allow you to use their names and photos on your website for that product.
Write articles highlighting uses for the product and include them on the website as additional pages. Make the web pages compelling, and include calls to act on the information. Every headline must attract the reader to read more. Bullets and highlights of special points will help the reader who is scanning to learn what the page is about find that they have to know more!
2. At the very top or top side of your web page, where it simply can't be missed, offer free reports to your readers. Then create autoresponder messages that will be emailed to those who input their personal information into the sign-up box. Research has proven that it is usually on the seventh contact with a prospect that a sale is closed.
With a web page alone, one of two things will happen: the sale is closed or the prospect will leave the page and never return. By placing useful information at no cost into their inbox at periods specified by your, you will remind them of the product they thought they might want later, and often will find the sale is closed. Be sure your content is directed toward the specific reasons to buy the product, but doesn't come across as "sales pitch".
Fact filled uses for a product and ways that the product will make life better and more enjoyable; these are the points on which to focus. Be sure you include a compelling subject line in the email and don't use the word "free" because some of the older spam filters will cause your mail to be dumped into the junk mail box before anyone reads it. Convince the reader who signed up for your free reports that they simply can't live without your product!
3. Get traffic to your website that is targeted to your product. After all, if the person who finds your website has no interest at all in what you are selling, they will be one of the 99 out of 100 who move on and never come back without further encouragement. By writing articles for publication in e-zines and e-reports, you can locate publications which focus on your target consumer base and grab their interest.
By writing as few as 2 articles per week, each only 350-600 words in length, you can generate as many as 100 targeted readers to your site in a single day. The more articles you get out to people, the greater your chances of closing sales within your targeted audience.
This doesn't sound very difficult, does it? It really isn't difficult at all. It just requires you to take a little time and create a plan of action. Use each of these tips in the order given and you will be prepared when that flood of targeted traffic hits your website.
Keep in mind, only 1 out of 100 people are likely to buy your product. If you generate 1,000 targeted hits to your website per day, that means that you will have made 10 sales based on statistical average! If you use these tips for several different affiliate marketing programs, you can end up having those huge affiliate paychecks everyone dreams about!
