6 Ways to Generate Millions of Dollars in Free Adverts
Yes you can generate millions in free adverts. You can have a zero dollar-advertising budget and still get tons of traffic to your business.
Here are six simple ways of getting things done; both online and offline.
1. Use Networks and Referrals.
Look for businesses that compliment yours and work with them. A caterer would find it profitable to work with a wedding photographer, bridal consultant, reception halls, jewellers etc. All he needs to do is send his clients to the others and they do the same.
You can also ask your clients to refer you to others and reward them for it. Think up good networks and referral systems. Online it is called Joint Venture. Use it profitably.
2. Article Writing.
Writing is a good way of getting free publicity. Write articles and make it known that it can be published freely. Your article will definitely refer back to you, and if it is very good, it might end up in a newsletter or magazine that has thousands of audience.
3. Hosting an Online Article or Ebook Directory.
I don't care what your business is; the simple truth is that you can
get traffic, customers, by having an online article or ebook directory where people can get free articles and ebooks.
If you already have a website, add an article or ebook directory. Go round the web and harvest some of the thousands of articles and ebooks flying around.
I am currently working on a list of ebook download links, websites that contain free ebooks and websites that contain free articles and accept articles from authors. If you would like to have this list when it is completed, send me an email telling me exactly what you would like to have. Once I have things organised, I will send you a copy of the compiled list.
Put all the materials you have together at your website and make a little noise about it. Sit back and watch what will happen to your business.
4. Competitors co-operating.
I know you do not like the sound of this but think about it. Airlines that are competitors work together by sending you to their competitors when they experience hang-ups. You can do the same.
When you can't do a job at a certain price, recommend one of your competitors you can vouch for. He will do the same one day. Again this is called Joint Venture online. Two or three businesses offering the same service come together. When you go to one, he asks you if you would like to hook up with the other. Your answer will naturally be yes.
Use it too and you will save yourself a whole lot of money.
5. Hosting an FFA site.
Similar to ebook and article directory. FFA means free for all. You can for instance host a site where you allow people to post ads for free. Their adds will usually stay there for a certain period of time. Once they come to you, you have the right to present your business to them and what an exposure that is.
What will come out of it will surprise you. Yahoo! Used this same secret and believe me it WORKS.
6. Ebook
Write a book on your area of expertise and give it out for free. You could even give out reprint rights to the book. Remember your business is right in the book. Those who make money from the book will work like crazy to advertise it and make profits. The more money they make, the more your exposure and since you wrote the book, all the traffic will naturally come back to you.
Affiliate Programs: Free Sponsors and Advertisers for Your Website
If you are looking for advertisers and sponsors for your website, one way is to join the affiliate programs of the companies that are looking for sites that will host their advertisements. The list below include some individual affiliate programs as well as a number of affiliate networks (which will allow you to join the affililate programs of many companies). The programs listed below are free (unless explicitly stated otherwise), that is to say, there is no charge for joining them (in fact, they pay you). Note though that it is not always easy to join since some networks and programs require you to have a minimum number of visitors to your site, and many of them require you to have your own domain name .
You can get more information about the terminology used on this page as well as how to get started from the following articles:

You should probably be aware that not all affiliate programs are equal. Some are scams - you advertise for them, but somehow you never wind up getting paid. A few change their Terms and Conditions after a period of time (when they already owe you a large amount) to suddenly exclude your site and conveniently not honour payments for the sales they previously made through you. I've already been victims of three such schemes. Needless to say, those programs are no longer listed on this page.

Affiliate Programs: Sponsors and Advertisers for Your Website
RegNow
This company is used by many vendors to sell their software products. It allows affiliates to put links to these products on their website and earn commission for purchases made through those links.
LinkShare Corporation
This is a network of affiliate programs that handles accounts from a large number of advertisers. The rates of payments vary from advertiser to advertiser, with most paying commission for sales made.
Websponsors Affiliate Network
This affiliate network allows you to link to a wide variety of advertisers. Most of the links are pay per sale or lead, although there are ocassional pay per click programs as well. The network can even automatically warn you by email whenever a particular advertisement has expired, allowing you to quickly replace the ad on your site.
Google AdSense
Google's AdSense program displays advertisements on your site relevant to the content of the page you placed the AdSense code on. You are paid according to the number of clicks the ads (PPC - pay per click) on your page receive. It also provides you the ability to filter out competitors' ads and eliminate advertisements that are inappropriate on your site.
Commission Junction
This is an affiliate network that has a large number of affiliate programs. The payments from the individual advertisers are aggregated by the network and the amount paid to you in a lump sum at the end of each period (provided you have earn enough). Note that they charge affiliates $10 if they don't earn enough commissions in a 6 month period. The amount is deducted from your account with them, and if your account drops to zero, it will be automatically closed.
Amazon.com Associate Program
Fancy selling books on your website? If so, the well-known Amazon.com provides an affiliate program that pays you referral fees on books sold. The usually heard complaint about this program is that visitors would usually just note the book on the Amazon site, or bookmark the Amazon site itself, and return at some later time to buy the book. When that happens, the purchase is not registered as having come through your site, so you lose the referral fees on that sale. There's no referral program. Note that it is apparently not easy to earn much from this scheme, and many sites report disappointing performance (as compared to other affiliate programs).
ClickBank Questions Affiliate Marketing It would seem that Clickbank would provide more for their customers. Obviously, when it comes to internet marketing and affiliate programs, you could put it in your top 10 links. No other database of affiliate programs offers such a possibility for profit on either the affiliate side or the product creation site. And you can't beat the fact that the commissions from over 10,000 products get consolidated into one check. But there are still a few lingering questions that may get you thinking.
What is up with the site? I mean, a site shouldn't be overly complex. In fact, complexity can be a turn off. Then again, I have found more complex site templates from free sites. And its not just that. How many of you Clickbank affiliates have found news about Clickbank or FAQ's about Clickbank on a forum, clicked the link and the FAQ is on the Clickbank domain. But, if you go to the Clickbank homepage, there is no link to the page you just visited.
I don't know about you, but if I were running a business, I would make sure that customers and vendors could get all of the information possible and not have to find out news through third party sources. But, on the other hand, I can't complain. The checks do come in. I have never had to search for a customer service link on the site, because there has been no reason to. You make sales and you get a check. It's that simple and I have never found anyone who says otherwise.
Then you've got to wonder about the search feature. There is none. But why? For one reason, if Clickbank itself had a search feature, any internet user who is familiar with Clickbank clicking on an affiliate's hoplink could recognize this. They could then go to Clickbank and buy the product under their own affiliate ID at up to 75% off, which wouldn't matter much to Clickbank or the product seller, at least in the beginning. They still collect their cash.
But eventually, the product seller would notice a drop in sales. Affiliates would become less than satisfied with the results of all their hard work and stop working as hard to make sales that weren't coming in anyway. Therefore, there would be less advertising of the product in total. You can't underestimate the value of an affiliate army who are rewarded accordingly.
There are plenty of third party products available that will essentially build a search engine on a Clickbank affiliate's site for them.
Even without this, there are some out there who know what a Clickbank Hoplink looks like and just where to put their own Clickbank ID in order to make a commission for themselves.
Should the affiliates themselves be responsible for protecting their sales. I don't think so. Of course there are products that can help you protect your links, but shouldn't the responsibility rest on the product developer. Our heroes, the third-party software developers, come to the rescue again by providing software to do this for you, but only a few of the product developers selling through Clickbank rely on these products. This leaves a lot of affiliate out in the cold, relying on link cloaking to protect their sales.
I love when I sign up for an affiliate program and click the link assigned to me to test it out and I am delivered to the main page of the site. There is no "?hop=" behind the URL, just "www.mysite.com." This lets me know that my only job is to get the word out on the product and not become an expert on encryption just to make a sale. Just to let you developers know out there, it is also great not to create a link for affiliates from any page designed for sales. You've just defeated any work we as affiliates or you as a responsible marketer have done to save our commissions. Send the link after the sales if you want to but don't treat your affiliates like dirt by telling their lead that they can get a 50% discount by signing up for your affiliate program.
Another reason for product developers to check out link cloaking software: link popularity. If you use the conventional hoplink, Clickbank gets a link back to their site. If the affiliate has to encrypt the link himself, no one gets the link credit. If you buy one of these scripts, your affiliates will advertise a link that points to your site. Just something to think about.
Then there is sales notices. There are none. There used to be a time when Clickbank would send you an e-mail each and every time you made a sale. Spam? Only if you consider a check from the IRS junk mail. Personally, Clickbank could fill my inbox to the limits with notices like this. But this service is no longer there.
I don't want to even start with Clickbank's sales reports functions. Lets just say that they could be improved, a lot.
This is even another area where third party vendors lend a helping hand. You can create affiliate sales reports, profit reports, send e-mails to your customers, and even graph sales trends with such software. Some are scripts that you run on your site. These will send out a thank you e-mail, add the customer to your database and even activate an autoreponder to send out e-mails to your customers in the future. Others allow to have multiple products, multiple sites, and only one Clickbank account.
So what am I trying to say? Just that with the money you would think Clickbank is making, it seems that they could create a more elaborate, user-friendly site. Despite this, you can't beat Clickbank for high commissions and consolidated payments. In fact, some of the holes in the Clickbank system has allowed some innovative software developers to step in and provide very useful tools. Those who use Clickbank to sell their products should take notice and guarantee an effective affiliate sales force by at least checking these solutions out. In turn, they will be rewarded with more sales and affiliates who trust them.
