How to find a high revenue niche market and make money using Google Adsense?
Since I started writing the Affiliated Web Business Ecourse, I’ve had a lot of people writing to me asking me for ideas. Many of you have asked ‘Where do I start?’ or ‘what’s the best way to make money online right now?’ - I get about 5 or 10 emails like this everyday, and just simply don’t have time to reply to all of the questions I get like this.
In this ecourse I’m going to explain how you can start earning money with Google Adsense and high revenue niche areas. This is easily one of the best ways to make money online, so if you are stuck for ideas or don’t know where to start then read on:
Using Google Adsense is also one of the most popular ways of making money online. This year, they are expected to pay out a billion dollars to webmasters using Adsense! I personally make a lot of money from using Adsense on my websites (Google’s terms of service prohibit me from disclosing how much I am earning but it’s a lot!).
How does it work?
When you place Google Adsense on your web pages you earn money when people click on your ads – if your site is in a high revenue area, then you earn more per click than in low revenue areas. It’s that simple, you get traffic to your site, people click on your ads and you earn money for doing nothing.
Let me explain: Google knows which ads to put on your website based on the content of your pages and also the specific page on which the Adsense will appear. If you have a website on ‘Content Management Systems’ the revenue from your Adsense clicks will be a lot higher then if you have a website themed around ‘Glass Jars’ for instance. Generally the higher the revenue, the more competitive the area and less likely you are to get traffic to your site. That’s why it’s important to find a niche area where you can be competitive (I’ll come back to this).
So which are the most profitable areas on the web?
A lot of people spend a lot of time researching the most valuable search terms on the internet and there’s a number of ways that you can find out what the high revenue terms on the web are. It changes all the time and it’s difficult to keep track of. But if you already have an idea for a site then and you want an indication of how profitable it might be then you should visit the Ultimate Web Kit Overture Tool.
This free tool will also show the maximum cost per click (CPC) that advertisers will pay for a particular keyword or search phrase. It will also show you how many people are searching for that phrase (and other similar phrases).
If you want to see an example of how this works, try typing in: ‘Vioxx Lawyer’ – The people are top 10 Google results for that search phrase must be laughing all the way to the bank!
While this is great tool, you can still spend hours trying to find a profitable area to develop into a high revenue website. I personally use Top Paying Keywords which will give you a comprehensive list of the most profitable keywords on the web without the trial and error that would normally be involved.
I bet ‘Vioxx lawyer’ wouldn’t have been the first thing you would have guessed for the topic of a new website? – Top Paying Keywords will save you hours of guess work and give you plenty of ideas for new websites. Profitable keywords are most often things you would never expect.
So how do I know which area to target?
As I mentioned before, the highest revenue areas are often the most competitive. The secret here is to find a Niche Market that no one else has thought of so you can get visitors to your site and still generate profits from your Adsense. There’s a couple of ways you can do this:
I use Word Tracker for this because it the most comprehensive tool for finding niche markets. With this tool, you can take an area like ‘Vioxx lawyer’ (which had about 19,000 searches in December alone) and discover profitable niche areas. The other tool you can use if you are only planning on making a few websites is Site Build It which automates this process for you.
I just did a quick search on Word Tracker (using the competition search) and discovered that “vioxx heart attack lawyers” only has 224 competing sites and around 30 people a day are searching for this phrase. If you were trying to compete for the phrase “vioxx lawyer” (which has 324,000 results in Google) then you would have no chance of getting any traffic. If you pick a niche like “vioxx heart attack lawyers” then you will improve you chances of getting free traffic and making revenue from your Google Ads.

NB: Before you apply to Google Adsense, make sure your site is set up properly and not under construction. Google staff will review your site to make sure it complies with their terms of service and to make sure there are no broken links etc. Once you have one Adsense account then you can use it across all of your Niche sites and you don’t have to worry so much about being approved for Adsense.
