Can You Really Make $10,000 A Month Online?

Is it really possible to make $10,000 a month working from home and running your own business online? Does it sound like a dream? Is it even possible, let alone be a dream? And how many people actually make that much anyway?

The answer is YES. You CAN make $10,000 a month working from home and running your own work at home business. And YES there are plenty of people who make that much, or even more, on the internet. But it didn't happen overnight!

It starts out just like any other business. With a lot of "elbow grease" and hard work. There's simply no short cut to it. If you think that you can wake up tomorrow and make $10,000 while you slept, then you're right. You can! But only if you won the lottery or some rich relative died and left you his or her money. That's the ONLY way you'll make a lot of money in no time. Other than that, it's all about how hard you work at your work at home business.

It's just like any other business. You can't assume that just because you do it online, some miracle will happen and the business will take off by itself. You must realize that in order for any business to succeed, be in online or offline, you've got to put in the effort.

But what are the basic guidelines you should follow if you want to make $10,000 a month? Here's how.

a) Target a niche that's lucrative.

You can't succeed if your target market is saturated, unless you're a genius. For the rest of us, we need to focus of building our work at home business around a niche that's not too big but yet not too small either. You must make sure that your niche is big enough for you to be able to sell to it and yet small enough that not too many people are targeting it. This is one place where SIZE does matter. And knowing exactly how big your niche is, is so very important.

b) Focus on one thing

Once you find your niche you need to focus on it. It's easy to get side tracked or branch off into many different streams of markets. Don't lose focus! Keep doing what you are doing and focus on ONE specific thing at a time. Make it work 100%. And even then, there's always room for improvement. Many work at home business owners fall into this "diversify or die" mode and they spread themselves too thin. Don't fall for that. Focus on one thing and do it well. There'll be a time to expand, but not until you are making a considerable monthly income. If you are making a few bucks each month, you KNOW you need to focus!

c) Test and Refine

You cannot be complacent about how you do your business. What's good today can be bad tomorrow. And you'll never know unless you test and refine your business process. Don't take someone else's advice on what's good for your business. Test it yourself! Use different website copies, headlines, calls to action, prices, bonuses etc. There are a LOT of areas you can test - so make sure you do it. And when your results are in, refine your business process. If your results are conclusive, make the change. Don't wait until it's too late. Refine your process and then keep testing it. It's a cycle. Not a movement. So repeat it often.

d) Keep doing what works.

Sometimes you'll find that there are certain aspects of your business that you've tested and found that it works well. There's no need to change it. Well then don't. Many people think that change is universal and that EVERY aspect of their business should be changed. Don't be like that. Change only those that your tests told you to change. Leave other aspects that work, well alone. If they work - don't change them.

e) Try to automate as much as possible

After a while you'll find that some of your day-to-day business chores take up most of your time and that leaves little for the rest. You always feel that you don't have enough time. Identify the aspects of your work at home business that take up most of your time and see if you can automate it to some extent. You might also be able to find tools or services that can do those tasks for you in less time or effort. If you can automate such processes and free up more of your time, you can use that time on other areas of your business that can be of more use to you.

f) Replicate your success

If you've tested, refined, tested some more, and automated as much as you can then you will begin to realize that your business is now almost running in "auto pilot" mode. And this means that you can now run the business spending less time. And the profits have not taken a hit and have actually increased. Once you begin to see that you are making a considerable amount a month, it's time to replicate your business. And that means creating a whole new business that works the same as the one you've got. Once you get more than one work at home businesses running, you will have multiple streams of income. And now you are that much closer to your $10,000 a month goal.

g) Keep Working Hard!

And finally, you simply can't find a substitute for hard work. Working hard means working smart. So as you start your multi income streams you must not let yourself slacken and lose focus. Keep a firm grip on your businesses and make sure you put in the same hard work that brought your to your $10.000 a month dream. Treat it like a business and it will treat you well - I promise you.

So earning $10,000 a month from your work at home business is indeed possible. But there are no short cuts and no silver bullets. Hard work and working SMART will get you close to that "dream" faster. And once you are there you'll find that all that hard work was well worth it!

5 Simple Steps to Creating a 6-Figure Income From Home

As the saying goes, Find a need and fill it. Identify the particular products and/or services that are needed by most people but are not currently provided (or are minimally supplied) by businesses/companies. Step 2. Advertise. After deciding on a specific product, the next step is to actually market the product. There are many ways to do this, depending on the budget constraints and one's own, personal choice you can place your ads in newspapers, flyers, or even on the Internet! Work From Home: Real Money Advantages

One of the greatest and most rewarding endeavors you may adopt is working from home. Not only do you get to set your own schedule, you are blessed with spending time with your loved ones and/or your loved activities. I can't tell you how to put a dollar amount on it. But it's probably like this: $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

We are talking about time. Time is the most important factor when you compare working from home versus working a regular 9-5 job. If you hate the day to day grind of working a normal job and you never worked from home you are missing out on one of life's treasures. It is so limitless only you know what you would do with it. I personally enjoy 3 mile walks with my wife and dog Roxy (the fastest Whippet around). Oh, to be perfectly honest I love golfing with my friend at his country club. The best time to go from 11am to 3pm, if you add the commute times it really takes the WHOLE day. But you what? Time doesn't matter because I make my own schedule.

However, time is a non-money advantage. Let's look at some of the real money advantages to determine if working from home is for you. Always weigh your options before making any decision to quit your job. We will look at some of the required actions needed to work from home in my next article.

Some Real Money Advantages: per year

1. NO MORE COMMUTE! You SAVE the GAS money: depending on the vehicle this is probably save between $$-$$$ per month. $$-$$$$

2. You SAVE the Wear and Tear on your vehicle. Many people don't take this factor seriously but it is serious and costly if you're not factoring it in. Most cars cost at least .25 cents per mile (runs .50 cents to $1 per mile Mercedes AMG). These can surface in repairs or depreciation (i.e.: $25,000 2002 new car price minus current value 2005 $17,000 = $8,000 depreciation). If you add the repairs and upkeep during those years for a vehicle in good working order (average $1000 per year includes, brake pads, regular oil changes, unexpected expenses etc). That's $11,000 loss for three years. $$$-$$$$$

3. Ever get a TRAFFIC Ticket because of your commute to and from work? $$-$$$

4. Does your current employer penalize you for being late? $$-$$$

5. Auto accidents. Not all of us get into one. But those that do lose money on deductibles, and higher rates. $$$-$$$$

6. Insurance companies usually charge more money for longer commutes. $-$$$

7. Cost of inflation. Historically between 4-10%. This means everything costs you more, but rarely do jobs keep up. You see this every time you go to the grocery store, or buy your next car, or car wash etc. Suddenly it feels like you have less money. Trust your instinct or listen to an economist, you do have less money by stores, services etc raising their prices simple translation: inflation. If you own a property this will help but beware. If you don't own a property, inflation could really hurt. $-$$$$$

8. No need for lunch money. $$$-$$$$

9. No need for new wardrobe or keeping wardrobe clean. $$-$$$$

Some Non-Money Advantages: (just a few)

1. No more boss! You make your own decisions, rules, and disciplinary actions. Not someone else. This is really great if your current boss has those notorious suppressive anti-social characteristics and it all seems directed at you.

2. More time to work on your own earning power. Most employees are helping their employer to make money. But at the end of the week do you even have time to send a resume or go on an interview for better opportunities? Or read up on other systems to make money? You'll see how difficult it is to focus and read and experiment etc. There are more complicated ones. Who has time for that?

3. No day-to-day grind. You may love the grind but it is a true relief when you don't HAVE to. You'll make up your own grind working from home. Based on your likes, dislikes and strengths.

4. Time to work out. Time for 3 mile walks. TIME to study money making systems. Time for networking. Time for higher education.

5. Efficiency. You won't spend time cleaning up other peoples mess-ups at work. This really hurts you. It diminishes your self esteem to know that during your normal work day you spend time fixing the problems other people create. This doesn't even help you and seldom does anyone acknowledge it. It may be the ethical thing to do to help the company. But when your own work suffers. When you have to stay longer than scheduled. It intrudes your own personal integrity to your family and yourself. When you work from home you actually get more efficient. 6. Independent Thinking. When you are an employee you are affected by a herd mentality. You may not realize how other people you encounter everyday give you wrong data. This then gets filed in your brain and you start operating on it.

The list can go on and on. Number 6 is really my favorite. I'm going on my eighth year working from home. As I get good information, good education and apply solid principles I see great results.

The Five Powerful Tools Used by People Who Earn over One Million Per Year at Home Businesses

In my experience with home businesses I have been fortunate to be around a lot of successful people who could really assist me with my own success. The reason I jumped out of the work-a-day world to the home based business is because I knew if I found someone who really made the money they claim is possible, then I knew I could do it.

I was able to meet people personally within the first couple weeks of my getting started who were earning six figures every month consistently. I was also fortunate that they didn't want to keep it a big mystery as to how that was done. He shared with me what the keys to his success were.

I believe that by giving back here in this article and giving you those keys that I will be edifying the whole home based business industry. I also believe that by helping others, I in turn will be helped. Actually, before I start with the tools I wanted to reiterate what I said in one of my previous articles.

Why are you doing your home business? Take a second as if I'm right here, just me and you.is that it? You just want more money? What for? Don't just say you want to travel. Go looking around on the web and pick some places and price them out. Then you will have an idea how much money you need and have a clear target. Ok, on to the tools.

The first thing that all the successful people I've known have in common is that they are students of personal development. Have you ever met some really high up people? They have a certain spark or quality. You just want to get on board whatever it is they are doing. All the ones I've known spend about 30 minutes daily in any or all of the following: reading classic books on growing your mind, spiritual devotion, journaling, or listening to audio books. You can't have what those people have while be-ing the person you are (I'm assuming you have your sights set higher than where you currently are).

You must be-come something different than you are today. I used to think that if I only had a multi-six figure income, then I'd do all those things those people do and I'd be somebody! Have-do-be. The people I met in my journey told me I had it backwards. You must be the person you want to be and do the things they do, then you can have what they have. Be-do-have.

What that means in concrete terms is that in your mind you must have already accomplished the goal of the big income. You must act like that person when you are meeting new people, going to whatever kind of presentation your business does, or calling people on the phone. You must make the decisions those people make. Do you spend some money on marketing your business or buy a TV? Do you listen to your brother-in-law who says it's not a real business?

To assist you in being somebody different we have the second tool: daily meditation and visualization. You must picture over and over in your mind that day or time when you have accomplished your goal. Allow yourself to drink in the smell and feel of that new BMW. Picture the realtor handing you the keys to your dream home.

You will get what you focus on. Your subconscious mind will try and deliver whatever it is you think about all day. The alternative would be that your brain would be in sort of a conflict and you'd think you were going crazy.

The third tool isn't really a tool, but it is an integral part of the picture. Income producing activity everyday. If your business involves getting on the phone, then you must do it. Money will not fall out of the sky. If your business involves going to people's houses, then you must do it. You are not going to make money surfing eBay, rearranging your desk, or chatting with people already in your business.

The fourth tool is masterminding with other leaders. Unless you are incredibly rare, you have to be in the environment of people who are where you want to be. I've heard it so many times: take the incomes of the five closest friends you have and average them your income will be pretty close to that!

One hundred years ago, Edison, Firestone, Carnegie and people like that used to get together each year to just be together. Who are the board of directors for your business? Does that scare you? It should! Seek out successful people no matter what walk of like they are from, whether or not they even have money (i.e. clergy, prominent volunteers, people who overcame disabilities, etc).

The fifth tool is to cultivate the expectation of leadership. Be the leader! People will not follow you if you're waiting around for something to happen. If you are the proactive one who has the goals and the vision, people will follow you. You will be irresistibly attractive to them on the phone or in a meeting. As you meet people and you are looking to build your business, you must BE the leader they are looking for!

If you are consistent and persistent in all of these you will be unstoppable! Go get em!
